Printing Logos on Umbrellas: Screen Printing

Posted by Jen Zurowski on

An umbrella is a useful and unique corporate gift, and the recipient will be reminded of your company every time they use it.  Screen printing is one of the best ways to print a logo on an umbrella.  It is relatively inexpensive to do, the colours are vibrant and the lines are crisp and clear.  Screen printing is the most common method we use to add a logo to an umbrella.  The limitations are that the logo must be solid colours only (no gradients) and up to 4 colours.  If we are adding screen printing to an umbrella that we have in stock in our warehouse (in Vancouver, Canada), the umbrella is already constructed so we are limited to printing on the flattest part of the panel (the bottom centre of each panel).  If we are screen printing at our factory overseas, we can print anywhere on the panel because we can print the panels on a flat surface before they are sewn together and constructed on the umbrella frame.  If the logo or graphic you want to add to the umbrella has gradients or more than 4 colours, then you will need to consider a heat transfer print process instead.

You can see this logo below is a one-colour print on a black umbrella.  It is a solid colour (no gradients) so it is perfect for screen printing.
